Two Main Types of Fruit and Vegetable Juicers Centrifugal (pulp ejecting for no pulp juices) - High speed juicer chops (masticates) the fruits and vegetables. Then the basket in which the chopped produce is in spins at a high speed separating the juice from the pulp (non-nutritional fiber). There is no straining before drinking. This is the most efficient way to get the juice from fruits and vegetables. Masticating - These juicers mash or chop the fruits and vegetable into a paste and then squeezes the juice out through a screen. The result is a pulpy juice (you must strain it for a no pulp juice like a Centrifugal juicer produces). These are more versatile than the centrifugal juicers in that they can serve as a grinder & blender, too.
