Other Supplies You Will Need: Hand towels, Q-tips, scissors, matchsticks or toothpicks (to clean debris out of cone tip), ear oil (GSE Ear Drops), lighter, and a bowl of water.

Procedure: Have the person receiving the cleansing lie on their side, place a pillow under his/her head. Place, water and other supplies near to hand. Cut an oblong hole in a towel and place it over the person’s ear, light the wide end of the cone. Place the narrow end of the cone gently into the ear, rotate cone gently to insure a good seal. If smoke leaks from the bottom of the cone rotate and rock the cone until it stops. Allow the cone to burn down about 1.5 inches, then remove the cone from the ear and use the scissors to cut the cone just below the fire. Let the cut off piece fall into the water. Clean the inside of the cone, and gently clean the ear with a Q-tip, DO NOT push debris into ear! Repeat until there are 3 or 4 inches of cone left. Cut remaining cone lengthways to observe debris cleaned from ear. We make no medical claim. Candling is strictly a home remedy.

   It is recommended that no more than 2 candles are used per session and a minimum of 3 day between sessions.
